1. Our commitment

Asia-Pacific New Energy Alliance is committed to making https://joinapnea.org usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies or have visual, auditory, motor, cognitive or other access needs.

2. Accessibility target and current status

APNEA aims to align the website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. The website has not yet undergone a complete independent conformance assessment, so APNEA does not currently claim full conformance.

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing operational requirement. New pages, forms, publications and design changes should be reviewed against the same target.

3. Measures we are working to support

Measures include semantic headings, keyboard-accessible navigation, visible focus states, text alternatives for meaningful images, sufficient colour contrast, responsive layouts, readable text sizing, clear labels, descriptive links, skip navigation, reduced-motion support where practical and accessible error messaging in forms.

4. Known limitations

Some third-party components, including Forminator controls, Google reCAPTCHA and externally hosted content, may introduce limitations outside APNEA direct control. Complex editorial graphics may require ongoing improvement to their text alternatives. Newly added content may not be reviewed immediately in every assistive-technology combination.

5. Feedback and alternative access

If you experience an accessibility barrier, please email info@joinapnea.org. Include the page address, the task you were trying to complete, the browser or assistive technology used if relevant, and a brief description of the problem.

Where reasonably possible, APNEA will review the issue and provide the information or service in an alternative format or route while a technical correction is considered.

6. Assessment approach

APNEA may use a combination of automated testing, keyboard testing, responsive review and manual inspection. Automated tools identify only part of the accessibility picture and do not replace human evaluation.

7. Updates

This statement will be reviewed as the website, third-party tools and accessibility assessment mature.
